I am a former British Diplomat, formerly British Consul, Florence, and latterly British Consul, Rome. I am now living in and loving Naples, Italy. I have considerable experience in public speaking and have recently achieved accreditation with Uaar to enable me to perform humanist ceremonies.
The main character of these union ceremonies is that they all have a common feature: love. The delightful task of the celebrant is that of helping to make the couples’ unique love story the foundation of the ceremony. The key protagonists are the spouses themselves, of any nation, gender or sexual orientation. The personal public vows that the couple make to each in front of their friends and relatives are the cornerstone of any such ceremony. Each ceremony is different, is bespoke and tailored specifically for those entering the union.
The text of the ceremony is alway agreed with the couple well in advance, usually after one or two quite long conversations over Skype or FaceTime.
